  1. CGI Bash Shell Interface
  2. ========================
  3. CBSI is a small program that makes CGI programming in the Bash Shell a lot
  4. easier, or at least more tolerable. It is intended for Kagera Firmware, where
  5. other languages are too big.
  6. It parses POST and GET requests in addiction to COOKIES, placing elements as
  7. `name=value` pairs into the environment for the CGI script to use.
  8. It combines three features into an engine:
  9. * It opens a shell, and translates all text into printable statements. All
  10. text within <% ... %> constructs are passed verbatim to the shell.
  11. * It opens a shell, and prints the shell expression. Everything within
  12. <%: ... %> tags are supposed to be parsed into 'echo' statement.
  13. * It supports multilanguage and allows to easily put all texts within
  14. <%@ ... %> tags to be quick and easily translated into chosen language.
  15. Additional parameters that can be passed to CBSI:
  16. * --language-dir=pathspec - specifies a directory where CBSI should look for
  17. scripts translations. Default value is
  18. '/usr/lib/kagera/langs'
  19. * --shell=pathspec - specifies an alternate bash-like shell to use.
  20. This defaults to '/bin/sh'
  21. * --translation=filename - specifies a dictionary filename to be loaded in
  22. addiction to common.dic from language directory.
  23. The extension is added automatically.
  24. * --upload-dir=pathspec - this specifies a temporary directory where all
  25. uploaded files are created. Defaults to '/tmp'
  26. * --upload-limit=limit - allows a mime-encoded file up to limit KB to be
  27. uploaded. The default value is 0KB (no limit).
  28. This software is based on Haserl <http://haserl.sourceforge.net/>.
